On January 13, the American Saddlebred Horse And Breeders Association (ASHBA) announced to its members that it has requested that the Kentucky State Fair (KSF) host the National Futurity, National Amateur Futurity and the Bill Wise Four-Year-Old Sweepstakes at the World’s Championship Horse Show in 2025.
The request was communicated to the KSF on December 17, 2024, following a unanimous vote from the ASHBA Prize Programs Committee, Sweepstakes Committee and Board of Directors.
Since the KSF will need time to consider the request, the ASHBA Board of Directors has extended the 2025 deadline for nominations from January 31 to March 31.
“We are hopeful to have positive news to share with our members and our prize program participants in the near future,” ASHBA wrote in an email to its members.
