On Jan. 28, the Des Moines Springfest Show Committee announced via email that, due to a complete and ongoing renovation of the historic Horse Barn at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, the Des Moines Springfest Horse Show has regrettably been cancelled for 2026.

This renovation will be completed in time for the Iowa State Fair in August of 2026, and will include heated floors, indoor wash racks, and a relocated horse show office. The committee is looking forward to hosting the show again in April of 2027.
