American Saddlebred Registry Sees Rise in New Registrations
The American Saddlebred Registry (ASR) is pleased to announce an increase in registration applications. So far this year, 969 have been received compared to 834 at end of July 2018; totaling a 16 percent rise.
ASR President Sandra Currier says the new registrations are coming in for younger and older horses. In March, ASR announced an amnesty program for registration of horses over the age of 12 months.
“This is positive news for our industry," Currier said. "ASR has been focused on simplifying, incentivizing and streamlining the registration process. We will continue to build on this so that increases are realized through the end of the year and beyond."
“Over the past few months we’ve seen a steady upward trend that brings us to the number total today," said ASHA President David Mount. "It’s clear that the diligent work of the ASR is paying off. ASHA is committed to continued support and promotion of the Registry’s efforts.”
