Kentucky State Fair Committee Makes Recommendations for 2021
The Kentucky State Fair Committee released a memo today announcing its recommendation for the 2021 Kentucky State Fair.
The Kentucky State Fair Committee operates as an advisory committee over the planning of the Kentucky State Fair and World’s Championship Horse Show and brings recommendations to the Kentucky State Fair Board for consideration. Recommendations are not final decisions and can be approved, amended, or declined at the Kentucky State Fair Board’s discretion.
During the meeting today, a recommendation was made that Kentucky Exposition Center Staff plan the 2021 Kentucky State Fair August 19-29 and use the 2019 Kentucky State Fair as the outline. Modifications to the Fair are likely, but during the committee meeting it was noted that it’s much better to remove than add segments of the Fair. Health and safety of everyone on-site continues to be top-priority and standards set by the CDC, WHO and state government will be adhered to in development of the 2021 Fair.
This recommendation will be presented to the Kentucky State Fair Board on April 22nd for consideration.
