Saddlebred Museum Offers Something for Everyone During the Lexington Junior League Horse Show

The American Saddlebred Museum has a special week planned for those in town for the Lexington Junior League Horse. The week kicks off with a Meet & Greet in the Red Mile Clubhouse (use ringside entrance) on Tuesday, July 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is open to all and offers a chance for attendees to meet Museum trustees while viewing a selection of art that will be offered at auction later in the week. Pick up an auction catalog and enjoy hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Elizabeth Ghareeb and Michael Petty, as well as complimentary Arabella and Leatherwood wines hosted by Nic De Wet’s Toast of Kentucky. A cash bar will also be available. Guests can purchase VIP booths/tables for the Museum’s 2016 Kentucky State Fair party, Back To The Eighties: Puttin’ On The Hits Lip Sync Battle, sure to be a sell-out event. Stop by the Red Mile Clubhouse on Tuesday night and “meet” your Museum!

On Wednesday, July 6, drive out to the Showplace for Saddlebreds at the Kentucky Horse Park and partake in a Sip & Shop in the Saddlebred Museum’s Gift Shop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests will enjoy light refreshments, a chance to peruse the newest merchandise, and 10% off purchases! Current Museum members will receive 20% off! If you are not yet a member of your breed’s Musuem, this is your chance to join and save.

Consignments in the Equine Art, Antique and Rare Book Auction will be on display in the Gallery Wing of the Museum Wednesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Equine Art, Antique and Rare Book Auction will be held at the Museum on Saturday, July 9 at 12:00 Noon. A preview party with refreshments will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Shop in the Museum Gift Shop between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and receive a 10% discount on purchases, with current Museum members receiving a 20% discount.
