Morgan horses must participate in at least three (3) shows, entering the same class and division during the calendar year.

**Qualification guidelines for the Ladies Amateur Division:

*A minimum of 3 shows in the Ladies Amateur Division and the UPHA will allow 1 Show in the Ladies Division to qualify.
*The Amateur Ladies Division does not qualify for the Ladies Amateur Division.
*Shows in the Amateur Ladies Division will count toward the Amateur Division.
**State restricted classes DO NOT qualify for any Divisions.

2. Any current UPHA Professional, Associate or Junior member can nominate any horse/pony!
The Nomination Form must include shows the animal competed in, plus, all other requested information regarding owner, trainer, etc. You do not have to be the owner or trainer of the horse/pony to nominate an eligible animal. Only one nomination form needs to be submitted for each horse/pony being nominated for the award.

3. Two, Three and Four Year Old horses/ponies are considered Open horses/ponies and can be nominated in the Open divisions.

4. All Nomination Forms must be postmarked and mailed or faxed to the UPHA, on or before November 1st of each year. The UPHA American Royal National Championship or The Morgan Grand National can be used as qualifying shows. You must indicate on your nomination form, your intentions to show at these shows.

5. Only the Classes and Divisions currently used by the UPHA for Horse/Pony of The Year awards will be used for Nominations. Those Divisions and Classes are listed on Page Two of this form.

6. Trainers and Owners of all UPHA Horse/Pony of the year Nominated animals must be current members of the UPHA.

The Process
As Nomination Forms are received in the office, for each horse/pony will be placed on a list according to Class and Division. The Wednesday after UPHA/American Royal National Championship Horse Show, a Ballot containing each nominated and qualified animal will be online at www.uphaonline.com for all current Professional UPHA members, to vote. Online voting will last until Midnight on December 1st of each year. The Division winners will be determined directly from these Ballots and the Owner of the winning horse/pony, in each Division, will be notified prior to the Convention. The Division Awards will be presented during the Convention.

Each of the forty-eight (48) Division winners automatically becomes eligible for the UPHA Horse/Pony of The Year Overall Division Award in their respective Division. Ballots will be distributed to all Professional and Associate UPHA members, present at the Divisional Awards Presentation. The results of that vote will determine the twelve (12) UPHA Horse/Pony of the Year Overall Champions and will be presented during the evening banquets at the UPHA National Convention.
